125 Facebook Theme Party Ideas for Direct Sellers

Selling Tips

I love a good theme! It isn’t because I think they’re cute or fun, they can be those things and should be those things, but they’re also a super powerful tool for growing your business.

When I was in direct sales, I made a theme for everything – for my Facebook parties, in-person parties, customer group, team call – you name it, I themed it. You know why? It’s effective. It gives everyone something to look forward to, they know they’re going to have fun with you and what to expect, and it makes it easier to generate content to share!

Themes don’t have to be complicated, and they don’t have to be overly creative. You can even steal the themes from your company’s marketing teams since they’ve probably thought through the seasonal marketing ideas from top to bottom! The important part is that you implement them.

When I was in direct sales, I brainstormed a ridiculous number of themes, applying them for years in my business. I used a foolproof, three-step process to create themes, and I will share it with you!

FALL THEME PARTY IDEAS

WINTER THEME PARTY IDEAS

Even those who live in warm-weather places sometimes dream of a white winter with snowflakes, ice rinks, and all those quintessential winter scenes and activities. Why don’t you make that winter wonderland come alive for your customers at your next Facebook party? Here are some of my favorite winter party themes:

HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN PARTY THEME

  • STEP ONE: CONSIDER THE SEASON
Themes are easiest to brainstorm when you consider when you’ll be using them. Spring cleaning, Black Friday, 12 Days of Christmas, Cupid in Love, Back to School – see where I’m going here? Each season has different highlights, different holidays, and different products that are fitting and will be used more.  Take the season into consideration and move on to step two!
  • STEP TWO: PICK A PRODUCT
Next, choose a product. Pick something from the newest catalog that you’re really loving, something that has transformed your day-to-day, or the item you’ve been waiting for your company to release for months.  Learn all about this product: the ins and outs, details, and tricks. You can even ask your team members what they’re using it for so you can have multiple stories to tell about the product and so you can get ideas for our next step.
  • STEP THREE: PICK 2-3 COMPLEMENTARY PRODUCTS
Pick two or three complementary products after you have your main featured product. What goes together, what are you using together?  You don’t want to be selling the whole catalog at every party unless your company sells ten products; you should never try to sell it all simultaneously.  I know this may be trickier for those just starting, but simply use what is in your starter kit or ask your team for some tips. Once you start implementing some fun themes, your business will grow, and you’ll be earning tons of fun new products.
  • STEP FOUR: BRAINSTORM IDEAS
Once you have a season and a few products to center your theme around, start to think about how you can have fun with it! Think about what problems these products solve, what solution do they provide? Do a “Quick and Easy Meals” theme if it’s kitchenware items. If you have non-toxic home products in April, choose “Spring Cleaning” and show how all the products can transform your home for the season. If it’s March and you have a makeup business, do “Colors of the Rainbow” and share your favorite products in all shades.

The theme doesn’t have to be crazy, but it does have to convey what the party is about. Don’t just name it “Sally’s Norwex Party”; that isn’t going to generate excitement. You want the theme to pique people’s interest and hint towards what problems they’ll be solving.
  • STEP FIVE: IMPLEMENT IT!
Now it’s time to put it all together.  To implement a theme, you want to promote it and effectively share it from start to finish. Use the theme to create the graphics for the party, whether it’s an e-vite for an in-person party or a cover photo for a Facebook party – use cohesive graphics that will flow and subtly show guests what to expect. This includes your product posts, tips, and even party games.

Then, make it happen! If you have a multi-day Facebook party, consider making a mini-theme each day or sub-themes that match the overarching theme. For example, “Quick and Easy Meals,” for a three-day Facebook party, each day can focus on Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner with perfect tools and recipes to match.

Once you have these themes planned and executed, you’ll be able to use them over and over again.  There’s no need to re-create the wheel once you have a few great themes under your belt.
